Publicity Manager

A former advertising copywriter, Charles graduated from Duke University with a degree in English and Philosophy and is now a graduate student in Theater History & Criticism at Brooklyn College. He is the Department of Theater webmaster, co-president of the Graduate Theater Organization, and a teaching assistant for Dr. Helen Richardson’s graduate-level class, Theater in the Age of Globalization. While at Brooklyn College, he was a shadow puppeteer in Federico García Lorca’s The House of Bernarda Alba directed by MFA candidate Jane Catherine Shaw and is currently working as a dramaturg on Tracey Scott Wilson’s The Story directed by MFA candidate Wayne Maugans. After he completes his thesis on August Strindberg and graduates in May 2010, he plans on pursuing a career in cultural philanthropy.
